This is where Mani Sheriar, a self-proclaimed CSS-obsessed freak, shares her passions, thoughts, and insights into web design and development using web standards.
Offerings include tips, tricks, tutorials, and lots of code examples from her real-life projects.
Who’s Mani?
Mani is a 30-something year old web designer hailing from the Northern California Bay Area. Her intense need to express creativity led her to a Bachelors degree in Fine Arts from The Corcoran College of Art and Design in Washington D.C. in 1995.
After a few years trying to make it as an artist, and then another few trying to make it in the business world, she threw in the towel on each only to discover her true love for both in the form of creating and running her own web design business, Sheriar Designs.
As a web goddess she found a perfect synergy for her outgoing, friendly personality, her highly cultivated sense of aesthetics, her love of (yes, she actually LOVES it) coding, and her maddening need for perfect order in all things.
For Mani, her work often feels like play. She wakes up almost every day amazed and grateful that this is what she gets to do for a living.

Oh, one more little thing in case you’re curious: It’s Mani like Bonnie, not Mani like Danny. And if you’re really curious the last name sounds like SHARE-ee-are. Strangely, both names are Persian, yet Mani is not. Long story …
